Bashlo · What hosts pay for
What hosts pay for
Bashlo is a party planning service. Hosts pay per event for hosting; guests never pay.
Hosts pay per event for hosting a party, and guests never pay; passes will be sold in the Bashlo app, which is coming soon. Planning, invitations, RSVPs, questions, potluck and Secret Santa need no pass, and a Party Pass is used only when the host starts the live program.
Who pays
The host. Guests never pay and never need an account: they answer the invitation from a link, tell the host what they bring, and join the live program from their own phone or a phone browser. There is nothing for a guest to buy anywhere in the app or on this website.
What a host pays for
A host pays for hosting one event with Bashlo: the invitations and the RSVPs, the guest list with each guest’s answers, the planning tools (questions for guests, a potluck list, Secret Santa and the plan for the night), and the live program of activities for the room on the night.
It is a service for the host, bought one event at a time. There is no subscription to cancel, and nothing renews by itself.
What guests get
Guests answer the invitation, tell the host what they bring, open their Secret Santa name and join the live program from their own phone. All of it is part of the host’s party: there is nothing for a guest to unlock, top up or buy, and no guest is ever asked for a payment detail.
Party Pass, Big Night and the 3 Party Pack
A Party Pass covers hosting one party. Big Night covers hosting one larger party, for a longer guest list. The 3 Party Pack bundles three Party Passes in one purchase, for a host with several parties in a season.
Passes are not for sale yet. When they are, the app shows the cost before you confirm anything; this website never shows one.
How you pay
In the Bashlo app, which is coming soon; passes are not for sale yet. When they are, the payment goes through your phone’s app store, which sends the receipt, and a pass bought on one phone can be used on another phone signed in to the same account.
Nothing is sold on this website. Hosts who plan a party in a browser use the passes they already have. Purchases use the payment method of your store account; we never see or keep card details.
When a pass is used
Planning the party, the invitations, the RSVPs, the guest list, questions, potluck and Secret Santa need no pass. A pass is used when the host starts the live program of the night, not before. Opening the room, the lobby and the warm-up round come first; the pass is used as the program moves on from the warm-up.
If the live program fails before its first activity is complete, the pass is given back automatically. You do not need to ask.
What the activities are
The activities are short rounds for the people in the room: votes, quizzes, turns, drawing and lists to tick off, each guest on their own phone. They are entertainment for the party and are always optional. A host can plan, invite and manage a whole party without using any of them.
Results in an activity are points for that night only. They cannot be bought, sold, exchanged, carried over to another party or turned into anything else.
Accounts and data
Hosts sign in with Apple or Google, so we never see a password. A host can delete their account from Settings in the app, and the Account deletion page explains what is removed and when. The Privacy page says what we keep and for how long.
Refunds and help
Refunds go through the store you paid, under its own rules and in its own time. The Refunds page explains how passes work and what to do if a pass was used wrongly, and the Support page says how to reach us.
Questions hosts ask
Is Bashlo a gaming app?
No. Bashlo is a party planning service for hosts. The activities are optional, have no monetary value and involve no wagers, prizes of value or virtual currency.
Do guests pay?
No.
Can I use Bashlo without the activities?
Yes for planning, invitations, RSVPs, questions, potluck and Secret Santa.
When is a Party Pass used?
When the host starts the live program of the night, as it moves on from the warm-up. If the live program fails before its first activity is complete, the pass is given back automatically.
What happens to my data?
Guests give only a nickname, and the answers to the host’s questions are for the host only. A finished party is deleted 365 days after it ends and a cancelled one 30 days after it was cancelled; guests can delete their answer from the invitation page, and the Privacy page explains the rest.
